Linux Ubuntu

I installed Ubuntu on one of my other computers. I couldnt find the lic version of any windows product, and I do actually have a few, so I went with this.

Installation was nice, everything worked, no searching for drivers, once it installed I was up and running with no problems. Man it was the easiest install I have ever done.

Looks like there are only a handful of viruses for Linux as well.

Are there any games out there for it?

Google is your friend

I don't know any off the top of my head, but I have seen flame wars online (Windows gaming vs Linux gaming) where people have listed sites dedicated to Linux gaming. There are at least a couple of sites that list all games available for Linux that are also on Windows, and some where open source/free games are available. Just look it up....Google is your friend.

Yeah, Ubuntu rules. I've run the server LTS distro as a file server and it's stable as a rock.

However, my new NSD makes a file server OBE but I still boot up the box now and again to dork around (it's nice and quite in my computer room now).

You'll probably find several popular games that offer linux server distros but I'm personally not up to speed on linux gaming.

Speaking of, I need a new desktop before I would even attempt gaming - haha.

You see the specs on my new system?
You can go a little cheaper than I did and still get a very fast system for gaming.
