Anyone got any leads for software that will record streaming mp3s? For example I have an XM radio subscription and I'd like to record it when I play it online through my puter.

Anyone see this?

I installed Ubuntu on one of my other computers. I couldnt find the lic version of any windows product, and I do actually have a few, so I went with this.
Installation was nice, everything worked, no searching for drivers, once it installed I was up and running with no problems. Man it was the easiest install I have ever done.
Looks like there are only a handful of viruses for Linux as well.
Are there any games out there for it?

Any one ever tried Vongo?
10 bucks/month to download any movie. You can play it on up to three puters and a portable device.
Does any one know if you can burn it to DVD?

I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my lappy and got to the stage of reinstalling my software packages when I had an idea. Since my XP license was technically FREE with my laptop, I decided to try and see if I could find FREE replacements for all the my primary software installs. I'm not talking about spyware-riddled crap either. I'm talking fully fledged freeware (wow, new acronym - 3F) or open source licensed software.
My typical bare-bone setup goes something like this (let me caveat my 'needs' by saying that the majority stem from web hosting work):
Web Client
E-Mail Client
FTP/SFTP Client
Telnet/SSH Client
Multi-IM Client
Text Editor
HTML Editor (wysiwyg)
Graphics Editor
Word Processing Suite
Multimedia Browser
File Compression/Archiving Utility
Anti-Virus
Software Firewall
If any one wants to get the hookup and a few extra bones shoot me an email and I'll put you in touch with this guy...

I'm looking to hire a SOLID .Net developer. You get to work from
home, 40 hours week if you want 'em, but you can shake and bake your time - I don't care if someone works 2-3 days a week and goes off hiking for the rest of the week.
Sorry to post here... I figured this might be a good situation for a
hiker, and developers that KNOW what they're doing are hard to find.
I won't waste any more time here. If you're interested, send me an e-
mail.

Well, I'm sitting here wondering what the hell to do next. I'm still waiting on some user feedback on layout. Until then, I think the DSS site is considered in 'GOLD' status.
